AOC Grand Cru Brand. Municipality of Turckheim. The origin means “fire”. Facing due south at an altitude of 270 to 350m. Granitic terroir known as Turckheim with two micas. It is characterized by a steep slope, a thin skeletal soil, made up of sand, clay in the form of joints and gravel. It is a very draining environment with very significant warming of the soil. This renowned place was classified AOC Grand Cru in 1983. The wines from this terroir are distinguished by their flinty mineral nose supported by an acidity allowing them to keep very well.
